Data-powered asset management for The Frick Collection

The Frick Collection is an internationally recognized museum and research center, located in New York City. It is known for its distinguished Old Master paintings, and outstanding examples of European sculpture and decorative arts.

Bluprintx implemented data-powered asset management with automated workflow to deliver significant time and cost savings for The Frick Collection.

Insights

In many cases, the digital images that The Frick Collection has are the only images in existence of certain works. They needed an efficient, cost-effective way to track and preserve rare images, and easily provide access to them for art historians, subject matter experts, and the public.

Xinet WebNative Suite is the only asset management system that combines a dynamic production workflow toolset with a powerful digital asset management framework. It was selected as the ideal system to deliver the required functionality.

Bluprintx managed the full implementation of Xinet for The Frick Collection. Appointing a specialist delivery team, Bluprintx completed the technical set-up of Xinet and provided practical training so that the in-house team could be self-sufficient post go-live.

“The data around an asset is as important as the image itself. We looked at a lot of solutions, but didn’t find one that provided all the functionality we needed until we saw Xinet. Xinet has enabled us to automate manual tasks, like meta tagging and creation of alternate file types. It’s really saving us significantly in staff time and budget.”
