Where the cost hides

Content gets made twice

Teams recreate assets that already exist because they cannot find the originals. Without central hosting, spend is duplicated across markets, and nobody can report which assets earn a return.

The cost sits in the handoffs between tools. Every manual copy from one system to the next loses time, metadata and the latest version, and content reuse stays low because nobody trusts what they find.

Compliance comes last

Legal, brand and regulatory review happen after the creative is finished. Every rejection sends work back to the start, and in regulated sectors this late review is often the largest single cause of delay.

In a regulated firm, two approvals matter. Marketing decides what to run, and compliance decides what is allowed. SC² gives each its own gate in one content approval workflow, with the approval kept as the record.

Every channel means starting over

Each market, channel and format needs its own version, so teams resize, reformat and localize the same asset by hand. The work multiplies with every channel you add, and each copy drifts further from the approved original.

Activation is cut off from the asset

Content reaches email, web, paid and sales channels without tracking that ties results to the asset. Budget decisions then rest on opinion, and paid tools are bought to fill gaps the existing stack could already cover.

Know where you stand

Content supply chain maturity runs across five levels. Each level adds to the operational advantage of the one before.

Level 1

Ad hoc

Reactive work, knowledge held by individuals, no governance

Level 2

Defined

Basic processes and some tooling, siloed teams

Level 3

Managed

Integrated workflow, a DAM in place, some automation

Level 4

Optimized

AI-assisted production, connected stack, real-time analytics

Level 5

Orchestrated

Full supply chain that measures itself and improves continuously

We start at your current level and build a path to the next one.

Integration layer: agencies · event partners · paid media platforms · AI agents

Plan. Standardized intake briefs, editorial calendars, budget governance and work management in Workfront.

Create. AI-assisted production with Adobe Firefly and GenStudio for Performance Marketing, managed templates and brand compliance built into the creative workflow.

Manage. A single source of truth in AEM Assets, with taxonomy, tagging, rights management and approval routing.

Distribute. Omnichannel delivery to web, email, social and sales enablement, through platforms including Marketo Engage, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Seismic.

Measure. Performance, engagement and attribution reporting that links results back to each asset.

Review gates, legal approval, brand standards and a full audit trail run across every stage. Content governance is built into the workflow, so it does not depend on people remembering the rules. An integration layer connects your agencies, event partners, paid media platforms and AI agents to the supply chain under the same controls as your own teams.

Built for agents as well as people

In practice, people direct and approve, and AI agents carry out defined tasks. Teams can add AI agents as assignable resources in Workfront project plans. SC² puts those agents inside the same review gates, approvals and audit trail as your own teams.

Switching agents on is the easy part. The harder part is deciding who directs the work, which tasks agents carry out, and how every output stays governed. SC² designs that operating model alongside the technology.

Adobe now describes GenStudio as "an agentic content supply chain that connects enterprise context, brand intelligence and AI agents."

We built content supply chains before the category had a name

Each capability we built to solve a client problem became another layer of the supply chain.

1

DAM and workflow

We set up asset libraries and approval routing to control sprawl and version chaos.

2

Integration

We connected martech platforms so content moves between systems at every handoff.

3

Activation

We wired content into campaign engines, so the right asset reaches the right channel at the right moment automatically.

4

Governance

We built brand, legal and regulatory checks into the pipeline, so speed comes with control.

5

Orchestration

We now design the operating model itself: the full supply chain, with continuous improvement built in.

Is SC² right for you?

SC² fits if:

Your content cycle is measured in weeks and your market moves in days.

Legal, brand or regulatory review adds rework late in the process.

You run Adobe or Salesforce and want more return from the licenses you already hold.

You need to localize and adapt content across markets and channels at scale.

You want your content operations ready for AI agents and automated production.

Leadership wants AI agents in content production but needs brand, IP and compliance risk controlled.

A martech renewal, a new marketing leader or a funded content overhaul is coming in the next 12 months.

Another route may suit you better if you need extra creative capacity, a single platform license, or editorial strategy with no operational or technology change. Our wider team can point you to the right option.

Review the regulated content model for wealth and asset managers.

How to start

1

Discovery call

Thirty minutes with a solutions lead on how content moves from brief to market today, where it stalls, and which platforms you run. If you have them, bring two numbers: production cost per asset and cycle time from brief to live.

2

Scoped proposal

A recommended tier or accelerator, with fixed fee, timeline and the deliverables you will receive. Roadmap engagements can include a working proof of concept in your own workflows, such as a Workfront request form that builds a ready-to-review Marketo Engage program.

3

Delivery

We design and build alongside your team, and plan the handover from the start so your organization owns and runs the result.

FAQs

What is a content supply chain?

It's the end-to-end system that moves content from strategy and creation through governance, asset management, and channel activation. Most organizations have pieces of this (a DAM here, a work management tool there) but they're rarely connected. A content supply chain unifies them into one governed pipeline, so content flows from brief to deployment without the manual handoffs, duplicated work, and approval bottlenecks that slow most enterprise teams down.

We already have a DAM. Why isn't it working?

A DAM is a repository, it stores and serves assets. But without proper taxonomy, metadata, governance workflows, and integration to your marketing and sales channels, it becomes a digital filing cabinet that nobody uses. Most of our engagements start with organizations that already have a DAM and need it connected to the broader content supply chain.

Who should own the content supply chain: marketing operations or creative operations?

Usually both, and the split between them is often where content stalls. Marketing operations tends to own intake, workflow and activation. Creative operations tends to own production, review and the asset library. SC² defines who owns each stage, documents the standards and approval rules, and puts both teams in one connected workflow.

Do we need to replace our technology?

Usually no. Most clients already own much of the stack, including Workfront, AEM Assets, Marketo Engage or Salesforce Marketing Cloud. We connect and configure what you have first, and recommend new platforms only where the business case supports it.

Where does AI fit?

At intake, AI turns standardized briefs into first drafts. In production, Firefly and GenStudio generate on-brand variants. In review, automated checks flag compliance issues before legal sees the work. In the DAM, AI tags assets and recommends content for reuse. We also design the supply chain so AI agents can work inside it under the same governance as your teams.

We operate in a regulated industry. How do you handle compliance?

We build review gates, legal approval and audit trails into each stage of the workflow. Our work in financial services and pharma has shaped how we design approval routing for regulated content. See content supply chain for wealth and asset management.

Can we start small?

Yes. Accelerators run for 3 to 6 weeks and deliver a defined outcome, such as a bottleneck analysis of one priority workflow. The fee is credited toward a full engagement if you expand within six months.

What happens after I fill in the form?

A solutions lead contacts you within one business day to arrange a discovery call. You speak with someone who has designed and delivered content supply chains, and you are not added to an automated sequence.
